A Must Stop in the Intercontinental Family
Our second time here in 2025 and planning for a third visit already. The beautiful grounds, the location, the 4 outstanding restaurants, the Spa, the evening sunset view, this hotel is fine jewel in the Intercontinental family. In my 50 years of traveling to over 100 countries, I can say without reservation that this hotel has the best and most attentive staff I have had the pleasure to interact with. A shout out to Joel, Angel and Jerdeil at Le Cap restaurant, Brenda at the Spa, and Juan at the Concierge desk. Special thanks goes to the Resort Manager Sonia Ceballos. She has brought her extraordinary managerial skills from the Intercontinental in Cancun to the Presidente Intercontinental Cozumel.

Incredible location with lovely accommodations and accommodating staff!
My wife and I recently stayed at the InterContinental Presidente Cozumel Resort for nine nights. This was our first time at an InterContinental. After a very long and challenging day getting to Cozumel and a fairly late arrival, we were taken care of splendidly from the moment we arrived to our departure. The check-in process was simple but thorough as was checking out. All aspects of our stay were so well accommodated, from the well-kept grounds and housekeeping, to the staff at the great restaurants and bars. We ate and drank at three of the four onsite restaurants and we both can say we did not have a disappointing bite, and also enjoyed our share of dry and dusty vodka martinis made to order, along with a plethora of wine choices. The food was wonderful and the portions more than reasonable. The chefs and dining staff at the El Caribeño, Alfredo Di Roma Trattoria, and Le Cap Beach Club are so professional and personable at the same time. We also spent a morning at the Ikal Spa where we enjoyed various treatments from pedicure to facials and massage. Again, the treatment and service was over the top. My comment to the spa was that the masseuse "melted me." Finally, we required the services of the Conciergeries several times and always felt confident about the information we received and how they went out of their way to ensure our comfort. All of the staff is amazing, they are what makes the place work, and we hope the Intercontinental Presidente recognizes that. Special shouts to: Luis-Concierge Valentin-Concierge Andy-Waiter at Alfredo Di Roma Miguel-Waiter at Alfredo Di Roma Canadella-Spa All of the staff at El Caribeño and La Cap Love, D&L

BEST MASSAGES EVER AT IKAL SPA!
While staying at the hotel, we booked deep tissue massages at the IKAL spa for myself, my husband and my adult son. The facilities were made available to us before and after the massages--they were wonderful. The outside pools were clean and quiet. The relaxation room had delicious teas and an amazing freshly made snack bar that we could not get enough of! The locker room was clean and had all the upgrades! Great towels, robes, slippers, fresh cuke slices and on and on. Staff was super helpful and flexible. I really want to give a special shout out to Ruben, who did my deep tissue massage. As an older female, you worry a little when you don't know your masseur--but Ruben was spectacular. He was originally trained in PT, so his knowledge of the muscles and tendons of the body was excellent. He was easy to talk to and very professional. I get massages regularly and really appreciated his different techniques. I would highly recommend Ruben for deep tissue--or any massage without hesitation. I hope this review will put minds at ease about having a male masseur at spa IKAL. We all enjoyed our massages and the spa facilities so much, we booked a second round of massages! Worth every penny--an all around pleasant experience!

Nice Property
This is a beautiful property with super friendly staff. We spent seven nights at the resort with five days of diving through Scuba Du, the onsite dive shop. We had requested a standard pool view room, which they definitely upgraded to a ocean view. The rooms are nicely decorated and very spacious. My issue with the room we received was that it overlooked the El Cap restaurant and it was super loud. It was a holiday week with tons of kids playing outside till later in the night. Unfortunatelyt, based upon the design of the property the noise would be an issue for about 50% of the rooms. Also, the rooms could have been cleaned better. It wasn't an issue when we checked in but the floors were not cleaned the whole week. I know this as I dropped a small piece of potato chip in the corner and it was still there the final day. Also, on several occasions after cleaning, towels were not left for us and we had to ask for replacements. This also occurred twice on coffee and a bathroom floormat. The pools are nice and the grounds are well manicured. The beaches are great with both covered and non-covered seating. The El Cap restaurant had quick service with very average food. The larger restaurant, where breakfast is served, had extremely slow service at times with average tasting food. We sat for lunch twice with waits over an hour. The breakfast was included and the service was spotty. Many times I had to ask for coffee refills. The dive operator, Scuba Du, was very good and friendly. The issue I had was it is inconvenient with your scuba gear. There is no place for you to personally clean or store gear and all gear is carted off over a 100 yards to be cleaned and hung by an employee. If you want your gear to snorkel etc.. you must have them get it for you. If the guy who runs the cleaning area is not available you can't get your gear in a timely manner. Scuba diving is not a priority at this resort based upon the layout.

Top-notch hotel in Cozumel, especially for scuba divers and snorkelers
This was our second Thanksgiving at the InterContinental Presidente in Cozumel, joined again by our extended family (our party was 4 adults, 4 teenagers and one pre-teen), and we had a lovely time! From the moment of our arrival, the hotel staff was very attentive, and they took care of any problems immediately. One day, there was a storm that prevented us from going scuba diving, and they quickly came up with a selection of back-up activities (we ended up grinding our own Mayan-style chocolate, which was fun and delicious). The food is also delicious, with a number of options that work well for a variety of ages and taste preferences. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with lots of storage space, especially scuba gear. Even for non-scuba divers, there are two snorkeling areas (one with a wreck), with tons of creatures. Over the past few days here, we’ve seen angelfish, butterflyfish, triggerfish, needlefish, trumpetfish, trunkfish, a flounder, an octopus, a crab and stingray, just to name a few. We hope to be back!

Amazing hotel for luxury relaxing, snorkling and scuba diving in Cozumel.
I simply cannot express how awesome this hotel is in every way. Rooms and facilities are mint and tasteful. exceptional location for family snorkeling, scuba diving and swimming. 4 restaurants to choose from. Amazing sunsets and warm smiles from helpful staff all the time. I managed to get my 10 year old daughter scuba diving with hotel dive master Krishna who were very good with kids a bit hesitant to dive. Warm regards to front desk staff Christine and Erick who both went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. I cannot recommend this place enough. Very impressed.

Coming back again this year for another fabulous family holiday
We had a great time here last year and have just booked to return again, the same time this year (December). We are a family of 3 (our 12 year old son was learning to dive and completed his PADI junior open water at the on-site dive centre here). The room was huge, clean and had all the comforts we needed. Beautiful ocean view too. We didn’t use the pool much (so much time spent diving!) but was a lovely setting by the main restaurant. Breakfast was amazing, particularly the traditional Mexican offerings. We also enjoyed delicious ceviches and fish tacos at lunchtime. The dinner options were quite pricey, so this year we are planning to get a taxi into town most evenings (this way we can sample more traditional local food too). It’s a great location, truly beautiful, and we can’t wait to return!

Nice resort
We stayed 6 nights at the intercontinental. We enjoyed our stay. The property sits along the beach about 7kms from the town. We had an ocean view room on the 2nd floor. It was spacious and nice. The balcony had a good view. The ocean front rooms were nice but for us not worth the extra cost. The beds were comfortable. Our A/C however was quite noisy so we had to sleep without it. Our breakfast was included but only for the adults, not for our 2 daughters which was a bit annoying. The breakfast buffet was quite extensive and the omelet station was great. We enjoyed this a lot. Other food was good quality but expensive. We preferred to go into town for dinner. The hotel has good amenities. Two nice pools and a hot tub. The beach area was also really nice. Enough sunbeds and towels to go around. The area around the hotel beach has some corals so you can snorkel right off the beach which we did every day. The onsite dive shop was good although a little expensive - 19USD to rent a snorkel and fins for the day. You can also rent GoPros and organise dive trips. The gym was very nice, large with lots of machines and weights. A minor gripe was that the hotel was not great at organising and/or communicating activities. e.g We only accidentally found out that the hotel has nice bikes for complementary use on our last day. The staff were nice. Overall a nice experience.

Absolute dream holiday!
Located just south of San Miguel in a beautiful park with a generous sandy beach and is perfect for a great holiday on Cozumel! From check-in to the last day, we felt incredibly comfortable and loved the attention to detail and the outstanding friendliness of all staff at the hotel! We were particularly pleased to upgrade to one of the junior suites with a huge terrace and direct access to the Tranquility Pool. The 4 restaurants of the hotel were all excellent and culinary delights remain unfulfilled and also the breakfast buffet offers everything from fresh fruit to Mexican, American and European specialties ! The Service at the hotel is absolutely courteous and we were greeted every day with a smile...in short: we had an absolute dream holiday and can recommend the hotel outright! The connected dive center Scuba You are also great and we can be Gabriel & Team highly recommend!

Solid resort
Nice spacious room upgrade. The roof over the outside seating area leaked, seemed to be a common problem with all units. Faro Blanco is a great restaurant; the Italian place next door, not so much. Eating under the palapa was relaxing and casual, with a good breakfast buffet. Almost universally friendly staff. Unfortunately barriers along the beach make long walks impossible. Snorkeling here and elsewhere in Coz is tepid compared to Hawaii. Sting ray spot was fun but very touristy.

What an amazing beautiful property. From the second you walk in you receive the warmest reception and amazing service that make you feel like you are the most important guest on the property. The rooms are warm and relaxing. The views are breath taking no matter which side your room is on. This place is the new standard for the experience every place should deliver.

I do not think there are enough amazing things to say about this hotel. It truly deserves its own post, but I will keep it short. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with lemon ginger shots and a cold towel to wipe away sweat and cool off. The staff—whether at the front desk, bell services, maintenance, or housekeeping—were exceptionally friendly. If you are from the United States, as I am, you may immediately notice just how friendly everyone is. If you know, you know. The facilities were outstanding. Our room was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, and restocked daily with towels and bottled water. Room service was excellent, and although we are not messy people, it was wonderful to return each day to a freshly cleaned room. The gym was exceptional. It was recently renovated, and most, if not all, of the equipment was high-quality Technogym brand. There were many machines, including a Smith machine for squats and other weight training exercises. The snorkeling and view from the hotel room were absolutely incredible. The environment was peaceful and quiet—perfect for anyone looking to unwind and relax. We ate at one of the hotel restaurants only once because we wanted to explore local dining. However, the two meals we did enjoy there—beef tacos on the second day and pizza on the last night—were delicious.

Ohh, so much to say ! 1- Great Great location, 20 min from airport, no wasted time in long trips and traffic 2- Amazing lagoon for swimming, many places to change environments , beach sand, vs beach rocks, vs pool 3- super well equipped Gym ! For those who care - very good technogym equipment 4- service and stuff well involved and very supportive ! Its all about the details - and going tge extra mile ( for example - i hate getting coffee in plastic cups- next to the pool glass is not allowed, which is logical, there are kids jumping etc , yet they were more than happy not to pour the drink from a paper cup but to prepare another expresso ! That says Alot ! 5- good selection of restaurant food dishes , seafood, meat, vegetarian, i dislike the all inclusive systems in hotels and consider it unsustainable for the environment, so they have a choice ! Appreciated tat alot 6- Not Big ! And i will stress that one alot ! Usualy hotels in the area are massive , you need literally a car to drive to your room, this one felt much more curated, Cousy and accommodating, 7- rooms are great Specialy if you get the ones which are little more upgraded, 8- price wise i felt the rooms could be better ( of we talk about the more upgraded ones) 9- Dog friendly ! And thats super super Big + Whats is missing : -rooms could be fancier, having more cool elements inside ( at least the upgraded ones ) for that price you can definitely add small memorable things - Coffe ! Hospitality is moving to accommodate more unique experinces, it takes Nothing to have more specialized Barista ! - Balance the offer and experiences not only for Families but also for Solo travelers

Love, love, LOVE this resort. Have been here three times within the last 3 years. Service is always great. We got married here in June. Azalea was incredibly easy to work with and had our full trust. Everything worked out perfectly. This place has earned a permanent place in my heart. Can’t wait to return again!!

Awesome hotel, highly recommended if you want to enjoy a beautiful and calm beach, food and staff are amazing, rooms super clean. Just a slightly suggestion would be to put something in the floor outside the rooms on first floor because if it rains it becomes super slippery, my dad slipped and almost got injured. But overall great experience, will come back!

The rooms are big, with a nice separate toilet. It is worth to pay the supplement for seaview rooms (larger and nicer location). I wouldn’t opt for the direct access: everybody can as well see you all the time. Nice though artificial beach, the beach at iberostar (more southern) is more beautiful (natural) Big plus is that you can snorkle at the hotel itself (we saw stingrays, barracudas, lots of other colurfoul fish). Some things are very expensive (tennis 75 usd!, taxis are more expensive, wine is very expensive). The pools are almost dirty and the area around the pool is not an exquisite 5 star, more a cheap all in in Turkey. We prefered the more quiet places on the beach, where was always sufficient place. The breakfast is at a superb setting, but quality of the breakfast is mediocre. The staff is mixed, most of them very friendly some on the limit of arrogance ( our keys stopped working we had to back 3 times before it was resolved (about 5-10 minutes walking!), at this level of hotel they should have tried the keys or at least apologize for the mistake. I would overal come back to the hotel , because I believe there is no better choice on the island and we really enjoyed the experience but price on the high side for quality you get.

Juan Jose Charles & Catherine Gámez Sr. down in the concierge department did an amazing job. They helped me set up some amazing flowers, along with a slice of cake for my girlfriend’s birthday. The flowers seemed really fresh & the communication was outstanding. They responded within a few minutes, with any questions that I had 5/5 definitely recommend.

This is a beautiful hotel that looks more beautiful in person. Staff are really professional and it was such a relaxing stay. We loved the quality of the robes and appreciated the complementary beverages in the fridge as well. This is likely the nicest hotel on the island with great snorkelling and great beachfront area.
